In order to strengthen the startup ecosystem in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will talk with startups across the country through video conferencing on 15 January i.e. Saturday. This program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start at 10:30 in the morning. In the sixth year of Startup India, a flagship initiative of the government, startups from various sectors including agriculture, health, enterprise systems, space, industry 4.0, security, fintech and environment will meet and interact with the Prime Minister. Let us tell you that 150 startups of the country have been divided into six working groups.

In front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this group will give a presentation to the Prime Minister on Growing from Roots, Nazing the DNA, from Local to Global, Technology of Future, Building Champions in Manufacturing and Sustainable Development. Every group will have to give a presentation in front of PM Modi within the stipulated time. The aim of the interaction between PM and Startups is to understand how startups can successfully contribute to the needs of the country. The PM's office said that PM Modi firmly believes in the potential that startups contribute to the growth and development of the country. Recalling the success of the past years, the PMO said, it has had a tremendous impact on startups in the country and has led to the astonishing growth of unicorns in the country. Let us inform that India's startup raised an amount of $ 42 billion in the year 2021, which was $ 11.5 billion a year ago.

In a report released by Orios Venture Partners, it has been said that in the year 2021, 46 startups in India with a valuation of more than one billion dollars were successful in achieving unicorn status. With this, the total number of unicorns in India more than doubled to 90. Startups that have become unicorns in the past year include ShareChat, Cred, Meesho, Nazara, Moglix, MPL, Grofers (now Blinkit), Upgrade, Mamaearth, GlobalBiz, Acko and Spinny. According to the report, India has become the third largest unicorn presence country after the US and China with the number of unicorns 90. There are 487 unicorns in America and 301 in China and India has now overtaken Britain (39). India has become the third largest startup ecosystem country with a number of around 60,000 startups.
