This information was given by Union Minister Piyush Goyal. He was addressing the "Emerging Industry and Business New Architect of India" session of the CII-HORASIS India Meeting 2021. Unicorns are startup companies that have a valuation of more than $100 million.

In his address, the Union Minister said that the success story of Indian startups is not only business success, but it is also a symbol of the change taking place in India. He said that despite the challenges of COVID-19, India is showing clear signs of economic revival. Exports are increasing and FDI inflows are highest. Indian industry is indeed on the path of growth.

The minister said that for the first time in the history of India, exports have been the highest ever in a single quarter ($95 billion in the first quarter of FY 2021-22) (18 per cent more than the first quarter of 2019-20). He said that in July (by the third week) exports have reached $ 22.48 billion. Which is 45.13 percent more than this period of the financial year 2020-21. Whereas compared to 2019-20 it is 25.42 more.

This week, NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant also said that digital technology has helped a lot in promoting startups in India. Startup revolution will get wings in the country through IPO. The Indian Startup Unit will raise capital from the people of India from the markets of India, this situation will be the situation of a real self-reliant India. Digitization has given impetus to the startup ecosystem in India.
